Another day, another problem, another reason to worry and stress. Or the perfect opportunity to stop complaining and start inventing solutions.
I have come to realize that it is a part of human nature to be complacent whenever we strike a road block in our lives. Instead of finding a way around it, we sit idly for a while as if the road block will magically move on its own.
Mary Engelbreit once said:
“If you don’t like something change it; and if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.”
It is up to us to find solutions to our own problems. Not someone else, not the universe, not “God” to fix your problems. At some point, we have to become responsible for ourselves and our situations, and understand that the onus is on us to remove the hurdles in our lives.
Of course you can ask for help along the way. No man is an island, we all need support. But, even asking for that help in the first place to assist in solving your problem has to begin with you.
It is very easy to get bogged down in depression, sadness, despair, complacency and sorrow. However, if you want to avoid situations like those and turn them into the opposites of happiness, joy, blessings, prosperity, productivity and fortune; start inventing solutions to your problems today.
What problems have you been worrying about?
