We all have our struggles, some more than others, but there is a beauty in those struggles.

No matter what you are going through today, I can almost assure you 100% that the lesson learnt will help you in the future.

This is one of the places where traditional school fails, it teaches you all about success and fails to highlight the everyday struggles. It teaches you theory and not practicality. Hence, people go out into the real world thinking that everything will go their way. You will immediately get that job after graduation, you will be able to buy a house in 2 years, pay off your debts with ease, life will be amazing.

The hard truth is, for most people, it never happens like this. In the real world life is fucking tough. Even if you take away the monthly headaches of finding money for rent and utilities, you still will have to contend with the environment around you. Death, accidents, illnesses, bad news, career failures, relationship failures and the proverbial closed doors. Point being, living in this illusion has many “downsides.”

But, the beauty of it all is that in most of those heartaches, pains, failures and stress, you are building a stronger you, a better you. One that is prepared for the obstacles of tomorrow, one that is ready for the hard balls.

Whenever you are going through something, it is hard to get caught up in the moment and drown in your despair. However, if you learn to always find the lesson/s in your struggles, you will see that a lot of it is just life helping to make you tougher. It is life teaching you life the hard way. Who said life would be easy? We come into this world and we are taught division of the classes, division of the races, the importance of social status and that all struggles are bad and should be avoided at all costs.

Life is neither good or bad, we are the ones who give meanings to those words. In everything, in every situation there is a light, a lesson, a purpose. Making you stronger for tomorrow and the tomorrows after that.

One Love,

Dave Anthony
